Building Regulations Advisory Committee Members

The Minister for Planning is seeking nominations from suitably qualified and experienced person to fill three vacancies on the Building Regulations Advisory Council. The positions available on BRAC include:

  • A member with building industry experience.
  • A member who can represent the interests of consumers.
  • A member who is an Australian lawyer of at least 5 years standing.


All applications will be assessed against the above areas. A selection panel will shortlist applicants and conduct interviews.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo probity checks, including a national police check. They will also be required to declare any private interests and awareness of any potential conflicts of interest. Recommendations of suitable candidates will be provided to responsible the Minister for Planning for consideration.
