Victorian Government Purchasing Board Members

The Assistant Treasurer is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill up to three positions on the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) in relation to:

  • Information technology
  • Construction
  • Social enterprise / social procurement

It is expected that one of these positions will be filled by a person with significant experience within the public sector. The positions will be filled from 1 July 2019 for up to three years.

The VGPB has a significant role as the governing body responsible for development, implementation and review of policies and practices in relation to procurement of non-construction goods and services across the Victorian Government. SELECTION PROCESS AND CHECKS

All applications will be assessed against the key selection criteria outlined within the attached Position Description.  A selection panel will shortlist applicants and conduct interviews likely between 3 and 10 April 2019.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo probity checks including a national police check. They will also be required to declare any private interests and awareness of any conflicts of interest. Recommendations of suitable candidates will be provided to the Assistant Treasurer and the Victorian Government for consideration.

Once on the Get on Board website, if you are interested in applying for a VGPB position, please click on the tab named ‘Vacancies' and select the link to the VGPB Job Title, then click on the ‘Apply Now' button at the bottom of the page.  Applicants should read the Position Description prior to applying.

When you click on the ‘Apply Now' button you will be taken to an online application form to provide personal and contact details. You will also be asked to supply a professional cover letter, current personal Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume outlining your skills, knowledge and experience relating to the advertised role/s, and a two-three page statement addressing the key selection criteria.
