The Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation (the Foundation) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced leaders to join its Board.

The Foundation is a statutory authority of the Victorian Government. It was created by the Victorian Parliament under the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation Act 2011 specifically to address the challenge of gambling harm in the Victorian community.

The Foundation's vision is for a Victoria free from gambling harm, prioritising the prevention of gambling harm through a public health approach, working with community and other partners to improve health and wellbeing and building a collaborative centre of expertise to support all Victorians.

The Board comprises members elected to the Victorian Parliament and those appointed by the Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Minister for Liquor and Gambling Regulation. Members have a critical role and responsibility in providing strategic direction and governance oversight for the Foundation.

As a Board member, you will have:

  • extensive leadership experience in a relevant field
  • proven capability to provide strategic and sound corporate governance oversight ideally gained from the public sector
  • an understanding of operational functions such as HR, legal, marketing and/or technology.

A qualification in a relevant field and prior board experience will also be highly regarded.

Successful applicants will be appointed to the Board on a part-time basis for a period of up to four years.
