The ACFE Board is a statutory authority established under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. It supports the development of adult community education in Victoria. The primary role of regional councils is to act as an expert advisor to the ACFE Board on issues affecting learners engaged in adult, community and further education programs in the areas listed above. This advice leads to supporting and promoting services within regions that meet local community needs and support adult Victorians who need to build their educational capacity and who are seeking to develop the core skills they need to fully participate in further study, work and life.

Positions will commence mid-2020 and members are appointed for up to three years. Membership is voluntary.
