2021 Board Appointments to Victoria's Catchment Management Authorities
It's an exciting time to make a difference to the Victorian Water Sector!!
The Minister for Water, the Hon Lisa Neville MP, is inviting expressions of interest for board members on Victoria's Catchment Management Authorities.
There are approximately 40 board positions including 6 chairperson positions that expire in 2021 on Catchment Management Authorities located across Victoria.
Catchment Management Authority board members are required to have experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
- land management,
- water resources management and the water industry,
- waterway management,
- environment or natural resources management, including climate change adaptation,
- primary industry,
- strategic or business planning,
- financial management,
- community engagement
- public administration and corporate governance,
- risk and auditing,
- traditional Aboriginal ecological knowledge, and
- primary production (more than one half of the members of the Board of each CMA must be persons whose principal occupation is primary production (agriculture, apiculture, aquaculture, forestry or horticulture).
Board appointments for Catchment Management Authorities commence 1 October 2021.
